I grew up on an island. As a grown-up I moved to the countryside for eight years, but couldn’t resist the pull of the sea and moved back to the coast last summer, my city-born husband in tow.

Apparently this one, from Garden Trading, has been designed to synchronise to the lunar cycle. It rotates twice each period giving you a quick and easy indication of high and low tide. Genius, right?
