Pumpkin picking: Sonny Jim in his monster leggings
Admittedly, as the daughter of a priest I probably shouldn’t get so excited about Halloween.
But I love any excuse to dress my little man up in a cute costume. And for those of you who are a bit like me in that respect, here are some of my favourite outfits for little ones this All Hallow’s Eve…
PS Here’s Sonny Jim totally rocking his monster trousers by Look What Panda Made when we went pumpkin picking in Battlesbridge, Essex, yesterday. And despite the many attempts made by him to pick up all the biggest ones, we managed to make it home with mud-free knees. So they’re totally going in the wash right now so as they’ll be dry again before all the spooky fun is over for another year… Continue reading
Witchy Travel Tales author: Sibel Beadle with daughters Vie and Kie
A BILLERICAY mum’s bedtime stories, written to comfort her daughters as she divorced their father, are soon to be enjoyed by children everywhere.
Sibel Beadle, 46, who lives on a former farm at the edge of Stock, started penning the Witchy Travel Tales for her girls Vie, now ten, and Kei, now eight, two years ago.
Now the first of the five tales is on sale in book stores nationwide.

So here’s my mini list of the items I found most useful when Sonny Jim arrived. If you’re going to a baby shower any time soon, trust me, these will be a lot more helpful than an expensive newborn outfit that they are literally going to wear once… Continue reading
Snug as Sonny in a sling
Look how cosy he is!
Me and the boy (excuse my tired face!)
So when you have a newborn in tow literally everything seems to get just a tad more challenging. Sleeping is obviously pretty much a thing of the past and even finding time to go to the loo is difficult.
So anything that makes the feeding-filled, cry-averting days easier is all good. And my Funki Flamingo baby sling tops the list of things that do that (after the husband of course!) Continue reading
How rustic do these look?
Waterspout Flower Pot small, £19.99; large, £34.99
Urgh. Rain, rain and more rain.
Today has been a particularly grey morning. And as umbrellas go up all over the place, finding a nice place to pop your brolly when you get home can be something of a challenge.
Black and white retro umbrella stand, £23.955
Hurrah! It’s Shrove Tuesday! Which means we can all eat an inordinate amount of pancakes (and sugar and ice cream and chocolate sauce) without feeling bad.
This egg frying pan in pink, £4.95, would be ideal for little pancakes I reckon…
